Responsibilities: - Chemical Preparation: - Measure and prepare chemical components according to specified formulations and production requirements. - Ensure accurate quantities and adherence to established ratios. - Pouring Operations: - Pour and mix chemicals into the foam production equipment in a controlled and precise manner. - Monitor the pouring process to ensure consistency and quality. - Quality Control: - Conduct visual inspections of chemical components for any signs of contamination, impurities, or irregularities. - Report and address any quality issues or deviations from specifications. - Safety Compliance: - Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines related to chemical handling and pouring. - Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. - Material Handling: - Move and transport chemical containers within the plant using appropriate material handling equipment. - Collaborate with the inventory control team to manage chemical stock levels. - Documentation: - Record information related to chemical batches, including quantities, lot numbers, and production data. - Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately. - Equipment Operation: - Operate and maintain chemical pouring equipment, ensuring proper functionality. - Conduct routine equipment checks and report any malfunctions promptly. - Communication: - Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. - Report any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner. - Emergency Response: - Follow established procedures in the event of spills, leaks, or other emergencies. - Participate in emergency response drills and training sessions. - Continuous Improvement: - Identify opportunities for process improvement in chemical handling and pouring operations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficiency enhancements. Qualifiations: - High school diploma or equivalent. - [X years] of experience in chemical handling, preferably in a foam manufacturing or related industry. - Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to chemical handling. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Ability to follow precise instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. - Physical ability to lift and move heavy loads, including chemical containers. - Effective communication and teamwork skills. - Basic mathematical skills for measuring and calculating chemical ratios. |
