Job Overview: The Facilities Maintenance Technician IV supports day-to-day operations, maintenance, and readiness of PEO Land Systems (PEO LS) and Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) buildings and grounds aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. This position provides skilled labor support across a variety of functional areas, including basic facility repairs, event and emergency response preparation, groundskeeping, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate is a dependable and safety-conscious professional capable of working independently or as part of a coordinated facilities team in a dynamic DoD environment. Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform Level I daily maintenance per MCINCR-MCBO P1100.1B, including replacing light bulbs, minor part replacements, and other simple, non-invasive repairs.
- Respond to facility service calls within two hours, including clearing clogged drains, plumbing leak inspections, and portable HVAC system setup.
- Assist with cubicle and workspace repairs, including partition frame fixes and minor furniture adjustments.
- Operate snowplows, salt spreaders, blowers, and shovels to ensure safe access during inclement weather, including snow and ice removal from walkways, stairs, and parking areas.
- Support Command events by mowing, trimming, and preparing grounds as needed; remove storm debris and coordinate disposal per Government direction.
- Attend emergency planning meetings for weather events and execute assigned tasks in coordination with the Government Facilities Manager.
- Perform routine equipment checks and operate various GME and commercial vehicles and tools in accordance with manufacturer specifications and installation guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assist with the set-up of temporary infrastructure such as portable toilets and field equipment for events.
- Accompany inspectors and interface with Government agencies and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
- Provide logistical support for onsite training, market research demonstrations, and foreign delegation visits.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have valid Class C Driver's License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid OF-346 U.S. Government Motor Vehicle and Equipment Operators Identification Card.
- Must be medically cleared to operate specific equipment such as 10K forklifts and bucket loaders.
- Certification or experience in operating the following is required: Front-end loaders, Snowplows/blowers, High pressure pumps/power washers, Bobcat tracked skid steers with attachments, JLG 450 AJ Manlift, 6K commercial forklifts, Plate compactors, power washers, and portable/stationary generators.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (must be current).
- Completion of required MarineNet training: Storm Water Awareness (Natural Resources Environmental Affairs), Dispatching procedures, Hazmat compatibility, storage, and accumulation.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including snow and extreme heat.
- Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, stoop, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Must be capable of safely operating heavy machinery and hand tools as needed.
- Previous experience working in a DoD, Marine Corps, or federal facilities maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with base maintenance reporting tools (e.g., VIPER system).
Security Clearance:
- Tier 1 Background Investigation Required.
