Catholic Charities Maine's Behavioral Health Network is expanding! We're proud to oversee the new Freedom House, a 24/7 residence located on State Street in Portland. This safe and supportive home serves women who have experienced chronic homelessness, substance use disorders, domestic violence, incarceration and other challenges.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Housing Operations Manager to join our team and help launch this impactful program.

About the Role: As the Housing Operations Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operations of Freedom House, ensuring a safe, respectful, and well-managed environment for residents and staff. This is a leadership role that includes:

  • Overseeing daily facility operations and ensuring compliance with program policies
  • Supervising staff and supporting team development
  • Managing resident schedules, programming, and safety plans
  • Handling payroll, documentation, and reporting
  • Collaborating with property management and community partners
  • Supporting a healthy and inclusive living environment

This position is based on-site and is a key member of our Behavioral Health Network Leadership Team.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Supervisory and operational management experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly women impacted by homelessness, domestic violence, substance use, incarceration or mental health challenges
  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
