Position Title: Fermentation Operator
Wage: $24.00-$28.00 per hour Shift: Weekend Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm (Fri-Sun + one weekday); 6:00am-4:30pm (Fri-Sun + one weekday) QPS Employment Group has a great Fermentation Operator position available at a company in Franksville, WI. This is a weekend shift position with the opportunity for hire. Fermentation Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Weigh media and cryoprotectant for production batches. - Perform palletization. - Clean rooms and equipment for production, excluding CIP/SIP of large equipment. - Ability to properly fill out room logs. - Understands how to navigate the HMI in order to see what status equipment is currently in - Make media for INLA and fermenters. - Make cryoprotectant. - Use autoclave to sterilize equipment/media. - Perform all master sanitation tasks associated with department. - Follows operating discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards and practices to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned areas. - Proactively identifies improvements and opportunities utilizing improvement processes, appropriate management of change processes, and communication tools. - Perform sanitation duties per established frequency and procedures. - Comply with plant safety rules and maintain work area in a clan and orderly condition. Fermentation Operator Requirements: - High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. - Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. - Ability to stand greater than 2/3 of the time. - Ability to walk less than 1/2 of the time. - Ability to sit 1/3 of the time. - Ability to use hands greater than 2/3 of the time. - Ability to reach with hands and are less than 1/3 of the time. - Ability to climb or balance less than 1/3 of the time. - Ability to stoop, kneel crouch or crawl less than 13 of the time. - Ability to talk and hear greater than 2/3 of the time. - Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of the time. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of the time. - Ability to use close vision (20 inches or less) greater than 2/3 of the time for computer work and other tasks. racine@qpsemployment.com IIND012 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
