Summary: Primarily responsibility for oversight and leadership of sourcing / procurement groups that manage contracts (services and materials) for all nuclear spend (~$1 Bn of spend), nuclear inventory ($909m), and nuclear warehouse operations. Strategic leader in Supply Chain and reports to Chief Procurement Officer. The primary responsibilities of this position include: 1) interfacing with executive level of business unit partners (Nuclear SVP's, Nuclear Site VP's and central management) to maintain good working relationships and to identify areas for concern before significant problems arise, 2) organizing and managing a professional staff to ensure cost-effective and quality acquisition of materials, equipment, and services to support business, 3) execution of strategy development of key & significant sourcing activities across the business units, 4) interfacing and providing commercial support and guidance on new nuclear development, 5) effective inventory control monitoring and action in collaboration with the nuclear business unit to minimize any excess inventory requests and 6) Warehouse Operations, which include the following: A. Business unit partner interface with a focus on safety and overall operational performance of all the materials & supplies storerooms across the nuclear fleet. B. Setting expectations for warehousing strategy, performance metrics, continuous improvement and transformation culture and promotes alignment with broader business plans and policies in Supply Chain and Duke Energy. C. This position is responsible for communicating and enforcing all rules and regulations applicable to material receipts, storage, transfers, issues, returns, disposition and other day-to-day warehousing transactions. D. This role is expected to drive an inclusive culture, where employees are engaged, are proactive, strive to be innovative and supportive of one another. E. A key responsibility is to ensure nuclear quality requirements are met during material receipts, storing, and issuance. Responsibilities:
