Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Is this the right position to help achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:
Design, architect, implement, and maintain a scalable, secure, and reliable Azure environment.
- Support other related Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Compliance, and Defender, as they interact with and are related to Microsoft Azure.
- Serve in the role of an expert in delivering enterprise level advanced technology solutions.
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of our Azure environment, continuously monitoring and optimization performance, security, and reliability of Azure and related systems.
- Oversee, respond to, and resolve incidents related to Azure, M365, and other relevant systems, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
- Ensure the security and compliance of Azure.
- Participate in IT projects and tasks that may run concurrently in the organization and under the direction or guidance of the IT Project Manager.
- Continuously plan, organize, control, and evaluate aligned IT segment operations, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as senior management, vendors, customers, and regulators.
- Manage employee and stakeholder requests for IT assistance and ensure timely resolution on a timely basis.
- Support and maintain compliance with the firm's enterprise security program and participate in and conduct routine audits and risk assessments related to the position.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels and departments, including senior management, peers, employees, and vendors.
- Keep current on the latest trends and developments in the IT industry and share best practices and insights as appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with other IT operating segments to implement solutions and resolve issues.
- Stay update to date with the latest Azure and M365 technologies and best practices, and use that knowledge to implement improved solutions that improve the performance and efficiency of systems.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science and a minimum of eight (8) years plus IT industry-related experience or over twelve (12) years of relevant experience supplemented by coursework in the field or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. (required)
- Technical certifications for this role may include one or more of the following: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Entra, DevOps, Security, and Governance. (required)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and integration with Azure. (required)
- Advanced knowledge in enterprise security administration as it relates to this operating segment for various enterprise-level technology platforms and operating systems, including, but not limited to, enterprise-level Microsoft technologies and business-specific technology platforms.
- Advanced experience in IT operations, including virtualization, identity management, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance. (required)
- Team lead experience, delegation of workloads, strong organization and planning skills, fostering teamwork, self-development, providing feedback, ensuring team supports good safety habits, and performing quality management. (required)
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to demonstrate a desire to build the business from a technical and professional level. (required)
- Must have a firm understanding of the project life cycle (initiate, plan, develop, execute, communicate, implement, test, close, etc.) and can act effectively as project leader as needed. (required)
- Ability to lead complex projects from scope initiation through completion. (required)
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills, able to consistently meet scope and timeline requirements. (required)

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.
- Minimum Salary: $112,280/year / Maximum Salary: $179,650/year (Chicago, IL, Oak Brook, IL, Denver, CO)
- Minimum Salary: $117,625/year / Maximum Salary: $188,200/year (Orange County, CA, San Diego, CO, Seattle, WA)
