Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden seeks an Administrative Assistant reporting directly to the Director of Operations to serve as a vital member of the Division of Finance and Administration. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative, operational, and creative support that enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of the division.
The Administrative Assistant will manage a wide range of daily tasks, including coordinating schedules and travel arrangements, preparing reports, maintaining records, and supporting internal communications. This position plays a key role in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and acts as a central point of contact for the division's leadership team.
In addition to routine administrative duties, the Administrative Assistant will contribute to strategic initiatives by assisting with internal communication efforts, designing and producing creative content (such as presentations, newsletters, and visual materials), and supporting process improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while helping advance the mission and goals of Rutgers University-Camden.

Salary Details Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.

Maximum Salary 82739.000

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
Experience in higher education or complex organizational settings. Familiarity with systems such as KUALI, Concur, or similar administrative platforms. Knowledge of digital content tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or CMS platforms).
