Who We're Looking For

You're a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives on accuracy, process improvement, and collaboration. You bring a strong understanding of corporate accounting, reconciliations, and internal controls, and know how to manage reporting and month-end responsibilities with precision and efficiency.

Your high level of organization, technical skills, and integrity make you a trusted partner across departments. If you value structure, communicate clearly, and enjoy balancing day-to-day execution with big-picture insight-this role is for you.

About the Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing and overseeing key accounting activities including account analysis, reconciliations, financial reporting, audit support, and regulatory filings. This role ensures records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and that internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) are operating effectively.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the accounting and reconciliation process for assigned accounts, executing month-end close procedures, preparing financial statement support, and serving as a key contact for cross-departmental coordination. The Senior Accountant also plays a critical role in treasury management, dashboard reporting, and audit preparation.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to manage complex tasks across internal teams, auditors, and regulators.

What You'll Do

  • Manage daily accounting, reconciliation, and analysis processes for assigned accounts in compliance with GAAP and bank requirements.
  • Execute month-end close activities and prepare supporting documentation for financial statements, variance analysis, and dashboards.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and year-end audit requests and serve as a key contact for internal and external auditors.
  • Identify and communicate accounting risks and opportunities to supervisors, escalating when necessary.
  • Perform treasury-related activities including wire initiation and reporting; act as a key back-up for critical accounting functions.
  • Collaborate across departments to complete daily accounting tasks and ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal control standards.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience; experience in public financial services is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience conducting financial analysis and managing reconciliations.
  • Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Ability to solve moderately complex problems independently and identify when to escalate.
  • High level of initiative, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 documentation and controls.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and with internal and external contacts.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary:$63,500 - $95,500/YR, plus strong bonus potential.

  • 401(k) plan with employer match.

  • Paid parking and transportation benefits.

  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including:

    • Health savings accounts (HSA)

    • Flexible spending accounts (FSA)

    • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Generous paid time off and bank holidays.

  • Access to training and professional development programs.

  • Sponsorship and support for obtaining professional certifications.

  • A culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared success.
