Job Description
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler at AEC is responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities using SAP. This role ensures equipment reliability by organizing preventive, corrective, and project-related work, while supporting production uptime and cost-control efforts.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Use SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) to manage notifications, create work orders, assign priorities, and track completion.
- Screen maintenance requests and work with technicians to define job scopes clearly.
- Develop detailed job plans including labor hours, parts, tools, permits, and safety steps.
- Build weekly maintenance schedules that align with production and technician availability.
- Coordinate with operations, inventory, vendors, and purchasing to ensure materials are staged ahead of work.
- Monitor backlog, overdue work orders, and PM compliance; adjust plans as needed.
- Lead weekly scheduling meetings with maintenance and production teams.
- Ensure accurate documentation and history is recorded in SAP after job completion.
- Track performance metrics like schedule compliance, wrench time, and downtime reduction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Education/Skills
Position Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
- 3+ years in maintenance or facilities planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with SAP PM module is required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working on the plant floor and in office settings.
- Familiar with safety procedures, LOTO, and GMP (if applicable).

- Must have certification / training certification / associates or BS in project planning.
