Overview

The Rental Business Intelligence Analyst plays a pivotal role in transforming data from Dynamics 365, stored in the silver layer of Microsoft Fabric's medallion architecture, into strategic business insights that drive actionable outcomes. By designing and maintaining the gold layer and utilizing tools such as Power BI, AI agents, and Transalytic reporting, this role focuses on converting data into insights that propel business strategies and enhance future performance. The analyst monitors the effectiveness of these strategies against evolving data trends to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with overarching business objectives in the rental industry.



Basic Duties

Key Initial Responsibilities:

    Business Insight Generation (25%):
    • Analyze data from the silver layer to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform business strategy.
    • Apply advanced analytical techniques and data visualization to present insights that drive decision-making at all levels.
    • Generate strategic insights that support long-term business planning and growth initiatives.
  1. Strategic Reporting and Visualization (20%):
    • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI that serve as critical tools for business decision-making.
    • Ensure reports are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with strategic business objectives.
    • Regularly update and refine reports to reflect the latest data and business priorities.
  2. Advanced Analytics and AI Integration (15%):
    • Utilize AI agents and machine learning models to predict future business trends and outcomes.
    • Integrate AI-driven insights into business processes to facilitate proactive and data-informed decision-making.
    • Develop predictive models that support strategic planning and risk management.
  3. Real-Time Analytics and Transalytic Reporting (10%):
    • Leverage Transalytic capabilities to provide real-time insights that enable immediate business actions.
    • Ensure seamless integration of real-time data into operational workflows for enhanced agility and responsiveness.
  4. Performance Tracking and Strategy Refinement (10%):
    • Monitor and evaluate the impact of business actions and strategies based on data insights.
    • Analyze performance metrics to continuously refine analytical models, reports, and business strategies.
    • Establish feedback loops to ensure insights lead to tangible improvements in business outcomes.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (15%):
    • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their strategic data needs and ensure insights are actionable and relevant.
    • Present complex data insights and recommendations to executive and non-technical audiences in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Champion a data-driven culture by advocating for the use of business intelligence in strategic decision-making processes.
  6. Data Governance and Quality Assurance (5%):
    • Ensure the highest standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity to support reliable business decisions.
    • Work with the IT Fabric Data Engineer to optimize data pipelines and resolve data quality issues promptly.


Qualifications

Skills and Experience Desired:

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in business intelligence and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and experience in creating strategic dashboards and reports.
  • Advanced knowledge of AI and machine learning tools, particularly in a business context.
  • Experience with real-time analytics and Transalytic reporting.
  • Deep understanding of Dynamics 365 data structures and the ability to derive strategic insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence business decisions.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the rental industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving business growth and efficiency.
  • Commitment to data quality and integrity, ensuring the reliability of business intelligence outputs.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position will primarily works in an office environment, May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Must be able to walk, bend, lift up to 20 lbs. Some travel is required.
