More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Welder in Littlestown, PA with Signify.

  • Weld predominately extruded aluminum, die-cast, and sandcast using MIG and TIG welding practices

  • Operate both auto and semi-automated welding equipment

  • Make adjustments necessary for aluminum alloy being used including intensity of arc, slope and amount of argon

  • Work from drawings and written or verbal instructions. Examine finished work for defects and conformance with specifications

  • Interpret material/part needs and order of priority listed on work orders and production schedules by using ability to read and accurately complete move tickets and other tracking documents

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and practices. Includes wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed and/or required

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning tips

  • Assist in Machine Shop when needed

More about you

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • 2+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment performing a welding operation. MIG welding a must; TIG welding a plus

  • Experience welding aluminum preferred

  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and follow engineering specifications

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 75 lbs

  • Ability to read and understand English. Ability to comply with established Safety policies and procedures

  • Possess good hand/eye coordination

  • Machining experience with drill press and band saws a plus

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs

Starting rate - $19.73

Union Environment

Hours 5am to 3pm Monday to Thursday (OT as needed including Friday)
