THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will serve as the lead analyst and developer for assigned applications with full responsibility for planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. This involves designing applications and prototypes, creating project charts and schedules, writing complex program code, and using Microsoft Azure DevOps throughout entire application life cycle. You will be expected to conduct user sessions to gather business process and data requirements; write test cases, perform unit and system integration testing, and conduct user acceptance testing; and plan and coordinate the implementation and deployment of applications. This includes training end users, ensuring inclusive and equitable access for users of all abilities, coordinating with cross-functional IT teams, and mentoring lower level developers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Start and end times are flexible if start time remains between 7:30 to 8:30 AM.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You are required in the office two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Applications Developer 2 or Computer Programmer 4 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Five years of information technology experience that includes three years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
  • Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
  • One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires three or more years of full-time professional experience working with ASP.NET.
  • This particular position also requires three or more years of full-time professional experience working with .Net Framework 4.0 and above.
  • This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time professional experience working with MVC.
