DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform accounting duties in preparing revenue and refund transactions for various agencies of the Commonwealth. Work involves examining a variety of documents for propriety, quality, and conformance to established policies, procedures, and controls to ensure fiscal accountability and transparency. Your responsibilities will include effectively posting and processing payments and other transactions, preparing standard correspondence, and preparing and interpreting financial reports and statements. You will also provide customer service in the form of general guidance, understanding customer needs, and problem solving assistance. Apply now and advance your career with us.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In-office days occur when work dictates such requirements, two to four days per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
  • An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must possess one or more years of SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning experience.
  • You must possess one or more years of accounts receivable and/or bookkeeping experience.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
