Hourly Pay Range:

$17.34 - $26.01 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Vitamin Specialist
  • Location: Evanston Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Part Time, 20 hours
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:45am-4:15pm

What you will do:

  • Knowledge and application of the health system policies and procedures that apply to job and area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge and demonstration of the health system customer service standards.
  • Knowledge of federal state and local laws that apply to job's area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of the health system policies and procedures and apply them to the position of Herbal Shoppe vitamin specialist.
  • Ongoing growth and development from participation in events such as workshops, in-service programs and departmental meetings contribute to purchasing cost reductions.

What you will need:

  • High School Required
  • 1 Year in the vitamin and herbal industry.
  • Effective communication with colleagues, physicians, and patients.
  • Ability to resolve problems and answer herbal information questions for which no clear policy or guidelines exist.
  • Certain areas of practice require prior experience or training (e.g. oncology).
  • Must attend continuing education programs, approved by directory of pharmacy.
  • Prefer person to have certificates in Nutraceuticals and Phytomedicinals and alternative Therapies
