The Senior Services Growth Manager is responsible for driving the development of new business opportunities for the DEM Services team, in close partnership with Itron's sales and product management organizations. As RFP activity increases, this individual serves as a strategic solutions partner for our Services organization-collaborating closely with RFP capture teams to develop high-quality, customer-aligned content that reflects Itron's win strategy. They maintain a broad view across all active proposals, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and relevance of Services content throughout. During periods of lower RFP volume, this role shifts focus to proactive engagement-partnering with CME teams to track upcoming opportunities, drive strategic discussions, and maintain alignment across CME, operations, product, and leadership. This individual plays a key role in ensuring we are prepared with rich, up-to-date content and a strong, consistent narrative that supports our go-to-market success. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the comprehensive state of market opportunities for Itron in the DEM, DERMS, and adjacent solution spaces, combining a global awareness with detailed context;
  • Distill this awareness into a dashboard or other view suitable to frame leadership discussions, and use this view to ensure consistency of expectations and priorities among Services, Finance, CME, and other teams, as appropriate;
  • Coordinate and oversee the DEM Services team's contributions to Itron's pre-sales processes, including prospect qualification, customer conversations, and RFP response content curation; and
  • Focus on maturing the DEM Services team's capabilities in this realm, including developing reusable content for RFP responses, marketing collateral, marketable operational metrics, etc.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Track and report on relevant identified opportunities across sales orgs, including rationalizing or supplementing opportunities in Itron's sales CRM to get to a realistic view.
  • Engage responsively and/or proactively with sales teams and program/project managers to support conversations with prospects about Itron services and drive to close, including directly with prospects as well as second-line support for BGMs, CME, etc. Including developing reusable collateral, templates, other materials as appropriate.
  • Participate in all "go/no-go" meetings for RFP responses which include a services component.
  • Actively support "short list" presentations including strategy development and key messaging.
  • Work with Itron's strategic partners to incorporate their offerings into RFP responses when appropriate, in order to enhance Itron offerings.
  • Own services responses to DEM RFx and/or services content in other bids, including: For smaller efforts, curating and writing RFx response materials; And for larger efforts, coordinating that work among other Services resources that are engaged
  • Coordinate with Services Pricing team to inform their work and ensure pricing and content are 100% in sync. In partnership with Program Managers, provide key inputs on staffing requirements and other key assumptions for Services solutions.
  • Take overall accountability for the quality of RFx services content - ensuring it is coherent, responsive to RFx requirements/specifications, strategically aligned with the pursuit approach, and in all respects optimized to win the business
  • In the context of new opportunities, ensure Outcomes margin hurdle rates are achieved, and seek executive approval for any deviations from target margins.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in services strategy, solution architecture, business development, or pre-sales support, ideally within energy, utilities, or enterprise software industries
  • Proven success supporting or leading complex RFP and RFx responses, including strategy development, content creation, and cross-functional coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams (sales, product, finance, operations, services) to align solutions with customer needs and internal business priorities
  • Experience working with or within Salesforce CRM (or equivalent) to track opportunities, assess pipeline quality, and support business planning
  • Strong writing and content development skills with an ability to craft compelling and technically accurate narratives tailored to various customer audiences
  • Familiarity with DERMS, DEM, AMI, grid-edge, or utility-scale service offerings, with the ability to translate technical and operational capabilities into business value
  • Ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across global or matrixed organizations
  • Comfort engaging directly with customers or partners in sales, bid, or presentation scenarios, including "short list" or finalist meetings
  • Strong business acumen, particularly around margin targets, pricing strategies, and commercial assumptions tied to service delivery
  • Prior exposure to working with strategic partner ecosystems to co-develop joint offerings or enhance solution competitiveness
