Job Purpose

This role serves as the Lead Advisor for supplier risk analysis and is responsible for leading a Team that conducts financial risk assessments of Honda's suppliers in North America. The primary objective is to evaluate supplier financial health and deliver insightful analysis, strategic leadership, and actionable recommendations while focusing on continuous improvement.

By doing so, the role supports the continuity of material supply to Honda's production lines and operations. Key stakeholders include all North American manufacturing locations and supply chains across Automotive, Aircraft, Powersports, Power Equipment, and Indirect suppliers.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction in managing and developing a team.
  • Lead supplier financial analysis, risk assessment, and reporting to North American customers, providing early warnings of potential financial instability.
  • Lead financial analysis of distressed suppliers, drive financial solutions, and manage external financial support resources.
  • Drive a sustainable financial analytics strategy to enhance data-driven decision-making through continuous improvement and early indicator sensing.
  • Develop and present financial analyses to guide internal customer decisions and support supplier negotiations.
  • Development and delivery of financial training to internal buyers to improve their financial acumen, to improve knowledge in support of supplier negotiation.
  • Lead annual Unit business planning and provide vision to promote strategic development, such as KPIs and dashboards.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Master of Business Administration preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with a strong emphasis on financial statement analysis
  • Proven ability to simplify and communicate complex financial issues to diverse audiences
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving positive outcomes aligned with Honda's collaborative approach
  • Experience supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insight
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Alteryx preferred
  • Power BI preferred
Working Conditions
  • Open office environment
  • Travel as needed (10%)
