Milieu Manager

Full-Time - Day Shift : Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7a- 7p (36 hours/week)

Salary range: $25.92 - $38.88/hr. (DOE)

Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86 bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Littleton, CO. Highlands features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. www.highlandsbhs.com

Position Summary

The Primary function of Milieu Manager is to ensure patient safety through staff education and staff culture development. The Milieu Manager assists CNO with planning and oversight of the MHT patient care role and overall goal of facilitating the provision of continuous and safe patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling to patient. This position is responsible for coordinating new hire orientation, and performing other duties related to nursing administration in conjunction with human resources. Developing and executing a strong staff training program along with regulatory required in-services to increase skill sets of the nursing department staff. Providing opportunities for the formal and informal growth and development of clinical and non-clinical staff while working closely with other members of the nursing management team.


Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in human services or teaching certificate preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of education focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine or related field or completion of EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, Security Training program or equivalent preferred. At least one-year relevant experience preferred.
