Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions.
However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions or designated as variable hour worker - i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan and will be notified of instructions.

Minimum Experience/Education |
- Graduation from High School and one year of related office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to critically think and independently problem solve, while exercising professional judgement to escalate to management when necessary.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills as demonstrated by application materials, strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: |
- Bachelors Degree, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum one year experience in higher education/student services setting, preferably in Financial Aid.
- Knowledge of Federal and State Financial Aid Regulations and Policies.

Duties and Responsibilities |
This posting will be for
two temporary roles. Duties may include:
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports associated with the Office of Financial Aid involving but not limited to awarding, residency, unusual enrollment, student semester enrollment, Federal Pell Grants, Federal TEACH Grant, and Transient Study processing.
- Performs specialized duties to support Pell Grant and TEACH Grant programs.
- Provides accurate and timely information about financial aid policies and procedures to current and prospective students, their families, and other campus visitors through individual meetings and outreach.
- Analyze and review output reports for awarding and disbursement accuracy.
- Resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with other institutions to resolve Pell MRR's.
- Process and monitor the Transient Study Program.

Other Work/Responsibilities |
- Prefers familiarity with Return of Federal Funds (R2T4) Calculations.
- Answer student and staff questions regarding federal programs and their requirements.
- Reviews student records and makes decisions regarding aid eligibility and compliance.
- Collects data and provides necessary reports to senior management.
- Must meet time service deadlines on work as well as critical federal and state deadlines.
