Reports to the Compensation Director and is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of a wide variety of assigned compensation programs that provide consistent and equitable treatment of employees, are cost efficient, and are consistent with philosophy of the organization on merit and market position. Administers compensation programs and policies as assigned. Works in a team environment supporting the Worcester based hospitals, the Medical Group, member hospitals and physician compensation.I. Major Responsibilities: 1. Assists in the development of compensation programs by performing analyses of competitive pay practices, economic trends, current market position, and cost impact. Gathers, analyzes, and studies appropriate market data. Makes appropriate recommendations based on studies. All responsibilities are essential job functions. -Associate's degree in Business Administration or equivalent, plus three years of related work experience. -Knowledge of compensation principles and practices is required. -Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and a variety of software products such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. -Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with all levels of staff and management. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
