Are you a skilled surveyor ready to take the next step in your career? Fishbeck is seeking experienced Surveyor professional to support a variety of field and office-based projects across Ohio. From boundary and topographic surveys to construction layout and control, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate data and supporting engineering and design teams.

What You'll Work On



  • Perform boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys with minimal supervision.
  • Operate advanced surveying equipment including robotic total stations, RTK GPS, and data collectors.
  • Interpret legal descriptions, plats, and engineering drawings to determine property boundaries and project layouts.
  • Lead field crews, assign tasks, and ensure efficient and accurate data collection.
  • Prepare and review survey maps, plats, and reports using CAD and GIS software.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to support design and construction efforts.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in survey data and field conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and project specifications.


What We're Looking For



  • 2-5 years of professional surveying experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveying methods.
  • Skilled in using robotic total stations, RTK GPS, and data collectors.
  • Familiarity with ODOT survey standards and Open Roads Designer software.
  • Strong understanding of legal descriptions, plats, and land records.
  • Experience with CAD and GIS software for data processing and analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead field crews and manage survey projects independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and best practices in field operations.

Physical Requirements



  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, walking or standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable with bending, kneeling, climbing, and using technical equipment.
  • Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
