Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

The Legal Service Management team is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with strong cloud infrastructure and networking expertise to join our team in Eagan, MN. This team is at the heart of supporting applications within Thomson Reuters' Legal and Risk/Fraud segments.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture (Primary Focus): * Design, provision, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud solutions * Architect and implement scalable, high-availability cloud infrastructure solutions * Deploy and manage containerized resources in AWS including Docker, SQL Server, and Linux environments * Serve as the technical lead for cloud infrastructure decisions and architectural reviews

  • Cloud Networking & Security: * Design and manage complex cloud networking solutions including site-to-site VPNs, subnetting, VNets, routing, NAT, and DNS * Oversee cloud security architecture including Cisco firewalls, Azure Network Security Groups (NSGs), and network routing tables * Implement and maintain identity and access management using Least Privileged Access principles * Manage Active Directory, key vaults, Single Sign-On, SAML, and cryptographic certificates

  • Infrastructure Operations & Monitoring: * Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies for cloud resources * Proactively monitor system performance using tools like Datadog and respond to alerts to maintain high availability SLAs * Manage vulnerability scanning programs and ensure timely remediation * Oversee backup and recovery systems, including annual disaster recovery exercises

  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration: * Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud infrastructure across enterprise teams * Lead technical discussions and participate in architectural forums * Document system designs and operational procedures (Lucid, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams) * Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and provide strategic recommendations * Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to align infrastructure requirements with software releases

About You

You're a fit for the role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience as a cloud infrastructure engineer/architect

  • Deep, practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services with proven success in production environments

  • Strong cloud networking expertise including site-to-site VPN, subnetting, VNets, routing, NAT, and DNS configuration

  • Hands-on experience with cloud security including firewalls, NSGs, and network security architecture

  • Technical Expertise: * Advanced knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS services, resource management, and cost optimization

  • Experience with AWS cloud services and multi-cloud environments

  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server in Azure/AWS environments

  • Strong background in VM sizing, deployment, and automation in high-availability environments

  • Experience with cloud authentication technologies (SAML, SSO, Active Directory)

  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools (Datadog preferred)

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and deployment automation

  • Cloud networking and firewall management experience (Cisco preferred)

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies for infrastructure automation and optimization * Familiarity with compliance protocols and security frameworks

  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution

  • Proven ability to quickly assess and respond to security threats and infrastructure issues

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and drive consensus

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with cloud technology trends

  • This role requires an experienced cloud infrastructure professional who can immediately contribute to our Azure-based infrastructure and hit the ground running from day one.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $88,200 - $163,800.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
