1st Shift/Full-Time: Monday through Friday
With experience, make up to $23.62 per hour.
Primary Responsibilities
Under the direction of the maintenance supervision, the Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician ensures the completion of building and grounds related upkeep and repair, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Clean production aisle ways and general floor areas. Ensure aisle ways are clearly identified.
- Maintain and upkeep the physical grounds of the facility to include the following activities: cut grass, weeding, tend to trees and shrubs, trash and snow removal, painting, cleaning of lights and bulb replacement.
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance as required.
- Move office furniture and equipment from office to office or building to building
- Remove garbage and recyclables in production areas.
- Transport recyclables to local recycling center.
- Maintain weekly schedule of restocking first aid cabinets and flushing and cleaning of eyewash stations.
- Make deliveries and pick up supplies as needed.
- Assist maintenance or other department personnel as required.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Educational / Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED, HSED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training preferred
- Operating a hand truck, forklift, electrical hoists or other power driven equipment to load or move materials, preferred
- Requires a current and valid driver's license
