Manager, Supply Chain, Full Time, Easton PA

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Manages the processes of Supply Chain planning, implementing and controlling the efficient flow of raw materials to in-process inventory and finished goods from the point of origin to the point of distribution, with the purpose of satisfying customer requirements and minimizing inventory and total cost. Controls the entire logistical supply chain from supplier to customer including global capacity planning. Acts as primary interface with Operations, Platform Marketing teams, key suppliers, and internal manufacturing both for raw materials and Finished Goods. Participates on Teams, namely New Products, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Mfg. to ensure strategic company goals are met.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Directs the development of the annual production plan/global capacity plan to assure that objectives set forth by top management with respect to customer service levels, inventory investment, total cost and capacity utilization are met.
  • Manages the development of specific purchase plans including the purchase of finished goods, WIP, and the ordering of raw materials to support global finished good requirements.
  • Develops an optimal Master Production Schedule based on current forecast and manufacturing, labor and equipment constraints, at both US manufacturing sites and suppliers.
  • Develops and implements optimal inventory levels for raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory through direct supervision of the Supply Chain Team.
  • Reviews and reports results against plans on a monthly basis while adjusting plans as necessary to assure superior customer service, planned inventory levels, and production requirements are satisfied.
  • Develops innovative methods of planning and control to reduce OSMI and prevent its creation.
  • Directs all supply chain activities for the introduction of new products and monitors other activities required to ensure a successful new product launch.
  • Develops, directs, and maintains an effective organization through appropriate selection, development, and motivation of competent personnel to maximize individual and group performance.
  • Identifies allocation opportunities and works with CPFR/Sales to resolve

  • Coordinates with the Marketing & Sales teams all backend planning & timing to ensure all product is available at correct locations for new product launches and individual promotions within the lead times provided by cross functional teams.
  • Develops and administers ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed for the team within Power BI for OSMI, Inventory and New Product Capacity Planning.
  • Manage the quarterly OSMI & MC46 (raw & wip OSMI) process with the Ops Finance team to identify and move excess inventory through the system.
  • Monitor slow moving inventory in MFG warehouses to optimize WH space
  • Manages subcontractor material movements and quarterly subcontractor cycle counts.
  • Manages the direction and guidance of product lifecycle that includes the synchronization of all product inventory through appropriate inventory levels.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in the concentration of Business Administration, Supply Chain Planning, Industrial Management, or Logistics
  • 8-10 years experience in production planning and inventory management, including a thorough knowledge of master planning, material control and capacity/ resource planning, in a consumer goods supply chain environment which includes Overseas components and Finished Goods.
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Five years of supervisory experience in a team environment required.
