Position Summary:
The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator is responsible for the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of all maintenance activities. This role ensures that maintenance work is properly documented, parts and materials are available, and preventive maintenance tasks are executed on time. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience with CMMS systems, and a solid understanding of maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance work orders and activities.
* Manage and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Develop and update preventive maintenance (PM) checklists and schedules.
* Create and maintain detailed maintenance work instructions and job plans.
* Order and track spare parts, tools, and MRO supplies; maintain inventory levels.
* Coordinate with maintenance technicians, production teams, and vendors.
* Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs such as downtime, backlog, and PM compliance.
* Ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate and up to date.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes.
* Under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, maintain and troubleshoot all systems within the thermoforming department, including material feed system (blender, vacuum loading system, mixers, surge bins, etc.), process and chilled water systems (cooling tower and pump tank, chiller and chilled water pump tank), compressed air system, extrusion line, thermoforming line(s) (including trim press), primary and secondary grinders (including evacuation systems), and all support systems utilized in the department.
* Coordinate with and assist operators who are utilized to perform basic maintenance tasks.
* Perform tasks as directed by the PM (Preventive Maintenance) system, and as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
* Assist in the maintenance of thermoforming tooling to include form tools, trim tools and all associated change parts. This includes regular cleaning, and minor repair of damage.
Qualifications/Education/Special Skills
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or technical degree preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in a maintenance planning, coordination, or administrative role.
* Proficiency with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint, Fiix).
* Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, spare parts management, and scheduling.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals is a plus.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Background in Industrial Maintenance
* Familiarity with electrical systems/components
* Familiarity with servo drives/motors
* Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and schematics a plus
* Prior experience with electrical systems (both AC and DC) in voltage ranging up to 480V
