The Opportunity...

The Field Service Manager manages the field service support team for Airfield, Gate, and Weather solutions in the Central Region of the United States and all of Latin America along with the Technical Service team. The Field Service team provides technical assistance to our customers in the areas of start-up, maintenance, on site repair, training and modification of ADB SAFEGATE products along with DBT Transportation products. This assistance can take place via telephone, in-house or onsite visits to customer locations. The Technical Service team is responsible for remote support and troubleshooting. This role will be responsible for managing the customer experience through proper employee training and well-defined process. The service manager will be responsible for supporting growth in the service group which will include thinking outside the box to develop end to end service solutions. The service manager also has responsibility for the performance of service contracts and serve as a support role for the sales team for the selling of service. The role will help to develop, compile, and keep current product documentation in support of services of ADB products. This range of services may include activities of product repair, preventive maintenance to software upgrades and product refurbishment. This position will work closely with global counterparts in the Services organization to maintain consistent development and delivery of the technical services products, presentations, or training activities. This role should also be prepared to provide consultation or guidance on technical services when in contact with current internal, external, or potential customers.

  • Proactively leading and developing service teams' technical capabilities.
  • Recruiting, retaining, and coaching Service Team members to ensure the proper competencies are in place to meet company goals.
  • Managing staffing, scheduling, training, workload balancing, and performance management.
  • Identifying and/or defining training needs for outside agents and company representative organizations.
  • Establishing an effective work plan which provides prompt customer service and ensures that contractual requirements and commitments are met.
  • Traveling nationally or internationally to airport installations as required for sales support, project support, and associate performance evaluations or technical support.
  • Supporting ADB SAFEGATE and DBT Service growth initiatives by developing additional service offerings.
  • Tracking, recording, and analyzing warranty and non-warranty service hours, ensuring performance is in line with company goals.
  • Tracking and managing unresolved equipment issues for customers, driving towards resolution.
  • Contributing to future sales potential by ensuring satisfaction of present customers and generating sales leads to the Regional Sales Managers.
  • Authorizing warranty repairs, solicit customer purchase orders for non-warranty repairs and inform customers of installation issues which need to be rectified for proper operation of the product.


The talent we want to inspire has..



  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Associate in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), equivalent degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of four (4) years directly managing a service team.
  • Management of a virtual team desired.
  • International travel experience desired.
  • Fluent English (oral and written communication skills).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Must pass any required BCI and FBI Background Check.
  • Travel Requirements up to 40%
