M9 Solutions is seeking anInternal Auditorto work hybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Tysons or Arlington, VA. An active Secret clearance is required. Responsibilities
- Perform a quarterly analysis of posting logic to assess compliance with the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and identify non-compliant posting logic scenarios.
- Perform root cause analysis over identified posting logic scenarios that are non-compliant with the USSGL.
- Develop and submit System Change Requests (SCRs) to resolve posting logic scenarios that are non-compliant with the USSGL.
- Perform research and analysis to develop and execute Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) in response to Notices of Finding and Recommendation (NFRs), related to posting logic issues, that are issued. The development and execution of CAPs requires the performance of root cause analyses to determine the underlying issue associated with the posting logic audit finding, coordination with system/business process SMRs, and the implementation of system or manual (i.e., recording recurring corrective journal entries) solutions to resolve the underlying issue associated with the posting logic NFR.
- Through the performance of the quarterly posting logic compliance assessment over posting logic, identify potential data categorization issues. Subsequently, communicate identified data categorization issues to the proper stakeholders so that they can be timely and effectively resolved.
- Make annual updates to the Posting Logic SOP based on updated processes, procedures, and/or controls that were implemented since the prior year's version of the SOP.
- Provide support to stakeholders regarding the development of solutions to remediate posting logic scenarios identified that result in non-compliance with the USSGL.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Must be available to work onsite two days per week in Tysons or Arlington, VA.
- 10+ years of overall relevant experience with 4+ years of federal experience.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or a related field.
- One of the following certifications: CPA, CIA, CISA, CGFM, CDFM, PMP, SAFe, or ITIL.
- Strong understanding of the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and federal financial accounting/reporting.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans is essential.
- Skilled in analyzing complex data, identifying issues, and proposing effective solutions to resolve posting logic scenarios and compliance issues.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate findings, collaborate on solutions, and ensure that all parties are informed about requirements associated with necessary changes to system posting logic.
