Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in Van Nuys, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• Responsible for inspecting make/buy/reworked products, recording as-built lists, coordinating calibration of company measurement devices, and performing calibration of ESD monitors.
• Participate in the continuous improvement process.
• May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers.
• Fully proficient as an individual contributor.
• Works under limited supervision.
• Resource to other employees in areas of expertise.
• Assignments are moderately difficult, requiring some judgment.
• Works under limited supervision, self-paced, First In, First Out priority.
• Less detailed instructions are provided, and minimal peer review is needed.
• Communicates with contacts typically outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach an agreement.
• Resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.
• Work may be structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
• Follows established processes to complete tasks.
• Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.
• Resolves most issues.
• Works to achieve operational targets within the job area, which has a moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.
• Work is of moderate scope, typically on larger, task-related activities.

Pay: $23.66 - $35.00/ hr

Hours: 40 hrs / Week (1^st shift)

Length: Temp to Direct (12 months)

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and calibration of measurement devices.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with Visual Inspection IPC/WHMA-A-610 / 620 / 7711-77721
• Minimum 6 years of experience with Mechanical Inspection GD&T per ASME Y14.5
• Minimum 6 years of Diverse product experience within aerospace manufacturing.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with PCBA, cables, and machined components.

Preferred Skills:

• Associates Degree
• Active IPC 61-/620 Certification
• The ability to interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and test procedures.
• Good/clear/effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Independent worker; manages own workflow and staging area to get through the queue.
• Effective time management (not a lot of micromanagement)
