For more information visit our website at www.kearfott.com Optical Polisher Overview This position is responsible for performing precision polishing, deburring, and cleaning operations on a wide variety of high-finish and critical dimensioned glass parts. This position is on the first shift. Required Skills: * Set up and operate a wide variety of bench equipment used to polish and clean diverse glass parts. * Performs critical deburring and polishing operations on hard-to-handle parts. * Works from drawings, specifications, written and verbal instructions. * Checks work with a variety of electrical-mechanical-optical and manual measuring equipment. * Operates small electric hand and bench tools. * Uses a variety of proper grit, lapping, and polishing compounds. * Performs any other tasks directed by Management to satisfy company objectives. Required Experience: * 1+ years' experience in precision polishing and deburring of diverse-sized glass parts under magnification is preferred. * Must be Mechanically inclined. * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Due to U.S. export control laws under ITAR, this position is only open to U.S. persons, which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and certain protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $22.00 - $45.00 hourly. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
