Position Summary:

The DSA Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technical Lead will play a crucial role in driving innovation and implementing advanced AI solutions tailored to the MilTech Solutions Contract. This position requires expertise in military and Department of Defense (DoD) AI policies, hands-on experience with AI technologies, and a commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities. The AI Technical Lead will serve as the principal evangelist and integrator of AI capabilities across an Army organization. This role will drive the adoption of AI by identifying, procuring, and deploying existing and emerging technologies; educating the workforce on AI trends and ethical use; and enabling mission-aligned innovation through low-code/no-code platforms such as Microsoft PowerApps.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Align with Army and DoD AI policies and ensure adherence as they evolve.
  • Define, manage, and oversee development of AI prototypes to address mission-critical needs.
  • Support implementation of Army Co-Pilot and similar AI initiatives.
  • Educate stakeholders on available DoD and Army-approved AI capabilities, including tools such as Ask Sage, NIPR GPT, CAMO GPT, Liger, and others.
  • Champion responsible and strategic use of available AI resources
  • Conduct AI training sessions to enhance user capabilities and understanding tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Establish Azure AI services for development leveraging tools like AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure AI Studio, and Azure DevOps.
  • Enhance A365 applications with AI capabilities through integration with Azure Bot Service, Azure OpenAI Service, and other Azure AI Services.
  • Define organizational AI strategy including serving and the primary advisor on AI trends, tools, compliance, cybersecurity considerations and governance framework.
  • Drive low-code/no-code innovation via design and development of AI powered applications leveraging Army 365 Power Platform.



Qualifications:
Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in AI/ML, data analytics, or digital transformation roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven expertise in AI development and implementation, particularly within military or DoD frameworks
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure AI tools and services
  • Strong understanding of Army Co-Pilot and other DoD-approved AI technologies
  • Excellent communication and training skills to educate diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex AI projects and prototypes
  • Familiarity with DoD/Army IT environments, data governance, and compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with AI governance, including ethical use, risk assessment, and tool accreditation
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and AI integration in enterprise settings
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and data visualization practices


Preferred:

  • Prior experience supporting Army or federal programs
  • Knowledge of DoD and Army Data Platforms and authoritative data sources
