This Position reports to: Production ManagerSafety - Toolbox Talks with employees at the start of the shift Assign job tasks to employees by priority and qualifications Complete Shift to Shift Sheets - discuss with oncoming/leaving Team Lead and your teams Perform two Quality Inspections on each workstation (and testing as required on the Control Plan) First Piece Inspections at start-ups - Responsible for getting next orders (Labels, BOM & Control Plan) following the current schedule Complete bar code scanning once per shift 5S Sustainment sheets - verify each work station and audit 2 work stations per shift Support Lean Methods- motivate teams to always use best Lean methods. Update Production Attainment Boards every 2 hours Keep 3-sided boards up to date during the shift (the electronic turnover should always mirror this information) Relieve machine operators for breaks and lunch Record machine efficiencies throughout the shift to enter information into Excel worksheets at the end of the shift (Use as much information as possible, explaining downtime/scrap) Safety Observation Reports (1 per Quarter) and encourage your team to do the same Ability to operator all production equipment within their cell and have a general knowledge of technical skilled processes and equipment. Train employees/temporaries Update New Team Member Talks (as needed) and training matrixes Require employees to inspect tools and equipment before each use. Make daily spot checks to determine that equipment is in good condition. Maintain good attendance and punctuality as defined in the Attendance Policy Work with teams using problem solving, root cause analysis and Kaizen activities to resolve machine, tool or process issues. High School Diploma/GED required Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a machine operator in a similar work environment. Basic math skills Microsoft Office computer experience/skills Excellent communication skills Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. Manually maintain and repair all manufacturing or related process equipment. Install/set/relocate facility equipment. Troubleshoot and operate equipment as required. Analyze problems and take corrective action as required and provide processing expertise when needed. Perform periodic PM's as required. High school diploma or GED or Technical education preferred. Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance , preferred Injection molding experience preferred Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and hydraulic pneumatic Must have adequate interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written) Experience with robotics and PLC's is preferred Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
