Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $15.48 - Midpoint: $18.56 (Hourly N2) Department/Organization: 204414 - Biology Lab Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm Job Summary: The Laboratory Assistant prepares and equips teaching labs for daily classes. Maintains, repairs, and cleans labs and lab equipment. Additional Department Summary: Helps with the preparation and maintenance of the microbiology teaching laboratories. Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience; OR associate's degree and some experience. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to follow detailed instructions under limited supervision and work in an environment that requires sitting/standing for periods of time with repetitive movements throughout the day. Knowledge of standard laboratory equipment and laboratory safety is necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Biology, Microbiology, Botany, or Chemistry and experience in a laboratory.
