Job Summary

PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors. As a Facility Attendant, you will be the front line of our customer service standards, special events, building services, and programming. This position will support the front desk and Childcare operations. Collect fees from drop-in users; supply information regarding programs and register participants while ensuring cleanliness and notifying the manager of necessary repairs; perform daily safety inspections. The successful candidate will be self-motivated to grow, will work well with others, and exemplify strong communication skills.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s): * Loudoun Valley Community Center, Purcellville VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Offers alternative coverage for summer camps or preschool programs when necessary. * Supervises the upkeep, state, and safety of the Community Center's building and grounds; records daily facility inspections and communicates any issues to the Center Manager. * Offers assistance to customers of the Center. * Ensures the upkeep of vehicles and their corresponding records; performs pre-trip inspections and maintains daily logs. * Sets up and takes down tables, chairs, and other equipment for indoor and outdoor programs and events. * May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the role and departmental assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent: Six (6) months experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo criminal, credit, DMV, and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. Maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record. Pass TB rest within 30 days. Must annually complete a sworn disclosure statement or affirmation disclosing any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges. First Aid/CPR certifications prior to hire or immediately upon hire. Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently.
