Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Marketing and Customer Service Coordinator
Location: San Francisco, CA (onsite) Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Monday - Friday) Classification: Non-Exempt | Full-Time | Direct-Hire A well-established global retailer offering a wide selection of literary and lifestyle items with a focus on Japanese and Asian culture is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Marketing and Customer Service Coordinator for its San Francisco office. This position reports to the Marketing Manager and play a key role in supporting the company's digital marketing initiatives and customer service operations. This position is responsible for creating and coordinating web-based marketing content through collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Additionally, the role handles customer inquiries submitted through the company's online platforms, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be proactive, creative, and bilingual in Japanese and English.
Responsibilities:
Prepare promotional plans and create marketing materials in line with the company's online business strategy and upcoming events.
Collaborate with internal and external designers to publish marketing content across social media platforms, the company website, and newsletters.
Use social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to engage audiences and promote products and events.
Send out marketing email newsletters and edit/update website content.
Use the company's CRM system to extract data and support customer segmentation and targeting efforts.
Conduct data analysis to improve online marketing performance and identify new promotions, products, and customer targets.
Respond to customer inquiries by phone and emails, assist with order placement, and issue invoices.
Enter data into the company's system and support other general office duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Conversational-level Japanese language skills (required)
Proficiency with Photoshop (required)
Hands-on experience with social media marketing, particularly Instagram and Facebook
Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience in digital marketing or customer service is a plus.
