The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Corporate Partnerships Specialist is the lead account specialist responsible for working directly with WWP's national and regional corporate partners to maintain, grow, and deepen relationships with existing partners, sponsors, and donors. This role collaborates with WWP's internal support and program teams to secure high-dollar, annual, and multi-year funding to help achieve WWP's programmatic and revenue goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day relationships with an assigned portfolio of WWP corporate partners, ranging from $100K to $1MM+ per partner, striving to achieve fundraising goals while working to meet the mutual business objectives of both the partner and WWP.

  • Maintain partnerships year over year, grow fundraising, and deepen relationship engagement within each corporate partner through education, event planning, fundraising, employee engagement, and overall awareness of WWP's mission.

  • Integrate WWP into the business culture of each corporate partner, continually seeking opportunities to engage them programmatically with WWP.

  • Effectively communicate the value and impact of WWP's programs and services to corporate partners when requesting financial support. Collaborate with WWP's internal teams to develop communication channels that share this information and highlight the benefits of the partnerships.

  • Represent WWP in speaking and training engagements with corporate partners, helping their leadership, suppliers, employees, and customers understand the importance of WWP and the impact their support has on wounded warriors and their families.

  • Travel to meet with partners within the assigned portfolio to support program objectives.

  • Provide quarterly fundraising forecasts for assigned corporate partners and identify continuous improvement opportunities and efficiencies to maximize donor contributions.

  • Monitor industry trends in corporate giving with support from the analytics team and share relevant insights with partners to identify new opportunities.

  • Track communications and partner history within Salesforce and other CRM platforms.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Communications, Marketing, Programs, Legal, and other Resource Development units, to establish effective working relationships that support the growth and sustainability of corporate partnerships.

  • In collaboration with Corporate Partnerships leadership, establish an annual budget in support of your partner portfolio and manage that budget throughout the year.

  • Work with the WWP Legal, Communications, and Marketing teams to review and approve the use of corporate sponsors' logos on WWP materials and WWP's logo on partner materials.

  • Assist other Corporate Partnerships team members as needed in support of the team's ongoing strategic plan. Collaborate with partners to develop an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for each.

  • Develop and maintain a professional network on behalf of WWP to enhance brand visibility, foster strategic relationships, and support organizational growth and partnership opportunities.

  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships at all levels of an organization and to build successful, effective partnerships.

  • Proven ability to steward corporate, foundation, and individual donors.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to monitor, compile, and analyze data to guide decision-making.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills and a confident communicator with a demonstrated ability to present information effectively.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to apply them effectively in problem-solving.

  • Proven ability to establish credibility, be decisive, influence others, and drive change.

  • Strong understanding of Wounded Warrior Project's mission, values, programs, and services, and the impact they have on wounded warriors and their families.

  • Understanding of military service organizations (MSOs) and veteran service organizations (VSOs).

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • High energy level, self-starter, and willing to take initiative.

  • Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Three years of account management experience.

  • Three years of experience in corporate partnerships, fundraising, or business development.

  • Three years of experience working with senior management and executives.

Preferences

  • Three years of account management experience in a non-profit organization.

  • Three years of marketing, sales, or consulting experience.

  • Experience using Salesforce to track partner interactions and manage account data.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • General office environment; temperature controlled.

  • May require participation in events under varying weather conditions.

For Colorado Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $68,678 - $85,848 annual base salary,subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.

For Washington, D.C. Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $78,489 - 98,112 annual base salary,subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.

For New York Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $81,760 - $102,200 annual base salary,subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
