As a polisher, you will be responsible for grinding and polishing on a variety of materials while adhering to all quality and safety standards. Assembly and packaging for finished products may also be required. This is a 2nd shift opportunity from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM*.

*2nd shift hours will be changing on 7/7/2025 to 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm

You Will:

  • Be proficient in most polishing techniques for relevant materials
  • Be proficient in equipment set-ups to prepare product for final assembly
  • Understand and engage in department metrics
  • Be proficient in scrap out procedures
  • Interpret blueprints
  • Be responsible for individual production schedule expectations
  • Be proficient within applicable computer programs and scanning operations
  • Be proficient in most Standard Operating Procedures for applicable department/cell
  • Have knowledge of product packaging procedures and labeling
  • Complete Industrial Lift Certification (as needed)
  • Meet productivity expectations
  • Display a proficient understanding of department specific tools and measuring equipment
  • Sustain inventory and parts replenishment system
  • Support Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in department meetings effectively
  • Support new product initiatives
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

You Have:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • 1 - 3 years of polishing experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Respirators are required; therefore, successful completion of pulmonary function and fit tests are required. Proper Respirator fit requires a clean shaven face.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Respirators are required.
