Production Superintendent Position Type: Direct Hire Position Location: Ponca City, OK Position Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 (Depending on Experience) + Bonus Responsibilities:
- Direct supervisor of the Production Department personnel, including setting appropriate goals and performance criteria.
- Production Planning- Plans and directs production scheduling.
- Quality Assurance- Monitors and directs personnel ensuring the process produces a product in compliance with customer requirements.
- Personnel Training- Oversees Production Department personnel training.
- Personnel Management- Oversee and direct the hiring, scheduling, and training of all Production Department personnel.
- Safety- Direct the Production Department safety program, by conducting and reviewing weekly meetings, inspections, and correcting unsafe conditions and / or situations.
- Environmental- Monitor and direct all environmental issues to ensure that the plant meets local, state, and federal regulations.
- Equipment Inspection- Monitor and direct the inspection of process equipment.
- Participate in the development of the Annual Operating Plan. Monitor and direct the production department to ensure that it meets the plant Annual Operating Plan.
- Company Policies- Implement all department, plant and company policies and procedures.
- Maximize and optimize production process condition efficiency in coordination with market/sales demands.
- Process Monitoring- Inspect all process equipment to ensure proper operation on a continuous basis
- Process Reporting- Ensure that all required reporting has been completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process Equipment Operation- Monitor and direct safe and proper process equipment operation.
- Off-Spec Reprocessing- Monitoring and directing the processing and handling of Off-Spec material, rerun, and prevention of Storage Tank contamination.
- Process Control- Ensure that the product is in compliance with customer requirements.
- Maintenance Activities- Monitor and direct all maintenance activities to ensure efficient and safe operations of the production units.
- Operational Supplies- Monitor and direct the management of all operating supplies.
- Housekeeping- Survey responsible process areas and perform housekeeping to maintain plant facilities in a safe and orderly condition.
- Establish key performance indicators for the department.
- Meet annual operating plan budget and performance objectives.
- Develop and update succession plan.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree (engineering/technical highly preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, including demonstrated success in a similar role manufacturing role (preferably with a carbon black manufacturer or other Chemical/Petrochemical manufacturer)
- High energy level, self-motivating, team player, with an excellent work ethic.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage both people and situations.
- Self-confident and secure to be able to identify and correct problems through good troubleshooting techniques.
- Effective PC and PC-application software skills.
- Effective communicator, both oral and written.
