Job Summary o ensure the quality and accuracy of incoming materials and products by verifying their compliance with specifications, checking against purchase orders, and identifying any defects or discrepancies. This role involves visual and dimensional inspection, as well as the use of measuring devices to access the quality of materials before they are transferred to inventory. Job Description Key responsibilities of a Receiving Inspector Inspection and verification: Inspect incoming material for conformance to specification, purchase orders, and other relevant documentation. Quality Control: Verify that received products meet quality standards and are free of defects. Data Recording: Record inspection results, document discrepancies, and report any issues to relevant departments. Decision Making: Determine if materials are serviceable or unserviceable and make decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of goods. Documentation: Ensure all paperwork is in order and compliant with regulations and company policies. Use of Equipment: Utilize measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications. Process improvement: Suggest improvements to receiving procedures and quality control processes. Collaboration: Work with other teams to address quality issues and ensure efficient workflows.
