Join our Food & Beverage - Banquets TEAM in this pivotal role, where you'll deliver outstanding Guest Services and ensure the seamless operation of our convention services. As a Banquet Captain, you will be primarily responsible for achieving and maintaining guest satisfaction by creating exceptional and effortless experiences from the moment guests enter the convention or banquet area. Your goal is to provide unforgettable visual and culinary experiences. Lead and empower our Banquets TEAM to strive for excellence and foster repeat business.

Essential Job Functions:
* Deliver exceptional customer service by setting a positive example, promptly addressing guest requests, concerns, and complaints to ensure overall satisfaction
* Foster strong working relationships within Food & Beverage, other hotel departments and function guest host
* Assist in leading and managing all aspects of banquet services and activities
* Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of all food and products according to banquet event orders
* Train staff in Food & Beverage Banquets procedures and techniques; assist with managing BEO sheets
* Inspect function rooms and equipment for cleanliness and maintenance; oversee room setup according to event specifications

Compensation: $16.50/hour

Physical Demands:

* Grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 40 pounds and to operate various food and beverage equipment
* Work most of the shift standing and moving about in the banquet and kitchen areas
Qualifications:
Education:
* High school diploma or its equivalent

Experience:
* 2-years' experience in banquets/food & beverage, event management or related professional area preferred
* Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification required
* Food Handlers Certification required
* OSHA certification or equivalent knowledge of OSHA regulations
* Basic mathematical skills to prepare financial reporting
