Join GSK, as a QA Supervisor where you will develop, implement and administer quality inputs to the operational quality systems or electronic quality systems for the production of biopharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with GSK internal procedures, policies, standards, and worldwide regulatory expectations. This role leads a team of quality assurance professionals managing the quality systems. This role will act as advisor, facilitator and team member regarding regulatory compliance and operational quality systems for all aspects of manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products. This is done through direct intervention between this role and other staff in the facility. This role provides quality decisions to project teams and to routine operating teams. This position will provide guidance and training to new and existing employees in the Quality Assurance department and assist them with decision making. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Supervise employees related to the management of operational quality using established procedures and guidelines. Manage and/or support the following (Change Control, Vendor Management, Document Control & Retention, Internal Audits, QMS, and Data Integrity).
  • Attend meetings as a Quality representative and provide input as required. Lead and/or support special projects, such as site priorities or new products as required. Provide production floor support as requested.
  • Review and approve deviations and CAPA's, manage deviation performance for value stream, provide training and support to deviation authors, and act as SME for technical questions related to deviation closure.
  • Accountable for employee development and/or performance management through activities such as assignments and associated technical training programs and coaching direct reports with problem solving.
  • Support QA manager with succession planning, setting team objectives, implementation of new departmental strategies, quality system topics for Quality Council and weekly/monthly metrics.
  • Deliver Quality System and GMP training to site as needed.
  • Direct employees and/or update departmental documents such as SOPs as required.
  • Knowledge in cGMP, CFR and other regulations in order to assure quality compliance.
  • Support implementation of global strategies as required by the GSK business.
Why you? Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years' experience within quality roles within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience within GMP environment in the regulated industry of pharmaceutical production and supply
  • Experience within manufacturing and quality systems, including validation, documentation, compliance
Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Good written communication, organizational, and computer skills. Good interpersonal and verbal skills required. Able to function within team-based organization.
  • Able to prioritize and decide appropriate course of actions. Effective at implementing decisions.
  • Able to interact with peers, subordinate and senior personnel in multidisciplinary environment including engineering, facility operations, validation, production and QC.
