Job Description

Pay: $65,000 - $70,000 annually

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Full-Time position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. In addition, these positions are eligible for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, holiday, floating holiday, jury duty, and bereavement leave. JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager I, Goodwill Staffing, oversees the daily operations and business of a team of recruiters and account executives working at Goodwill of Colorado's Staffing agency. The incumbent will manage and direct office staff by promoting positive team culture and a quality service to all clients while focusing on improving market-share, sales, and gross profit. The incumbent will create long-term strategies for the Goodwill organization and is responsible for hiring, training, and guiding a team of Account Managers, Recruiters, Sourcers, and Temporary Employees. The incumbent is responsible for the business success and financial targets. The Manager will assist the staff in all aspects of the business in order to meet overall Goodwill Staffing outcomes. The incumbent will generate leads through marketing, networking and sales within the Community and social media. It is an expectation the Manager will cultivate strong positive client and team relationships by meeting with clients frequently to understand the need to ensure the staffing agency is customizing the approach to meet the demand. The incumbent will be skilled at attracting new business, closing deals, updating company profile, and maintaining current customer satisfaction. The incumbent will oversee the attainment of budgeted sales and profit goals through business development, growth of customer base, and support of team development. The incumbent will manage all areas of Staffing including sourcing new avenues and opportunities to put people to work while ensuring each opportunity is a revenue generating business to increase overall profitability of Goodwill Staffing. The Manager will explore broadening the population served across all aspects of the Staffing functions performed not only through Goodwill Staffing Services, but also through direct oversight of similar activities performed through services currently contracted with State, County, and other governmental entities, as well as within new markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Staffing Public Relations, Marketing and Sales:



  • Maintain awareness of labor market conditions to include data knowledge of competitor service information to generate business for the company in order to meet revenue and gross margin objectives.
  • Under the guidance of the Director and Marketing Team, develop and implement a consistent selling message.
  • Negotiate client contracts to include competitive compensation and bill rates to maximize gross profit and gross margin in a manner that will provide greatest access to facility needs.
  • Work with staff to anticipate and proactively approach situations to avoid potential problems with client or field staff.
  • Responsible for proper client set up in Applicant Tracking Software to ensure smooth payroll and billing practices.
  • Responsible for field staff meeting Goodwill of Colorado Staffing and facility credentialing requirements.
  • Promote Cross Divisional Sales opportunities when able and seek assistance from appropriate sales teams when needed.
  • Coordinate community events such as Job Fairs, assisting in Goodwill of Colorado events to build employee morale and continually look for new business opportunities that align with Goodwill of Colorado's mission.
  • Develop presentations and marketing material to promote Staffing services, will create an environment that supports innovation, continuous improvement and appropriate risk taking.
  • As an employee of Goodwill of Colorado, it is expected that the Goodwill Staffing Manager will seek opportunities to advocate the vision, mission, strategic plan, and philosophies of Goodwill of Colorado.
  • Work on- call as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Staffing Services Program Management and Staff Development:



  • Oversees the operation of a local staffing office; ensures that the office meets or exceeds budgeted revenue goals and profitability objectives; ensures organizational consistency in operating methods and procedures; effectively manages expenses by timely invoicing and ensuring of payment.
  • Manage office staff by promotion of a positive team-oriented atmosphere where goals noted in general summary can be accomplished.
  • Cross train office staff in other office roles to maximize team approach and delegate duties amongst office staff as necessary.
  • Conduct new hire and annual review for office staff.
  • Understand current client offerings/benefits. Responsible for office staff knowledge of same.
  • Identify and initiate both facility and field staff contact, provide accurate service information to generate business for the company in order to meet revenue and gross margin objectives.
  • Develop program plans for staffing services, solidify long-term business relationships and partnerships throughout the community and initiate/develop new business opportunities.
  • Ensure governmental contract responsibilities and employment outcomes are met.
  • Invoice and pay process bill and collection timely: time reporting is submitted, temp workers time sheets are processed timely, coordinating collection of debt, answering inquiries from temporary and contract employees.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit: demonstrate effective interpersonal skills including the ability to manage others, work cooperatively with cross-functional organizations, a high level of organization skills and the ability to make difficult and timely decisions. The incumbent must demonstrate strong creative, strategic, analytical, and personal sales skills with a positive attitude. The Placement Services Director must also speak comfortably and convincingly to groups of people, have the ability to demonstrate a high level of energy, innovation and be an inspiration to others.
  • Develop proactive and positive relationships with current and future employers.
  • Partner with internal customers by communicating changes in direction, implementation issues, requests for assistance to achieve Staffing Services' goals.
  • Create an environment of "Teamwork and Trust" throughout the staffing organization, complete performance reviews for each direct report per the performance review guidelines of the company.
  • Can motivate the members of the Staffing team and support their development through appropriate and effective supervision and guidance, provide work direction and guidance while providing timely feedback regarding the quality of task completion.
  • Maintain professionalism in the office space and keep culture as a priority.
  • Communicate the standards by which the staffing service delivery systems are implemented and maintained.


Strategic Leadership and Industry Support:



  • The incumbent will be an active member of the Colorado Staffing Associations.
  • Will attend conferences, participate in steering committees, stay abreast of staffing trends, understand competition, and learn about all areas affecting staffing on a national and regional level.
  • The incumbent will also present at conferences and/or local meetings to educate the industry on progressive approaches within Goodwill Staffing Services and share this information at appropriate internal management meetings.
  • The Manager will keep current in appropriate certifications and memberships.
  • The incumbent will leverage opportunities to explain and promote the quality standards of Goodwill of Colorado with employers, vendors, employees, and customers.
  • The incumbent will promote and set the standard for conduct and appearance in keeping with a professional working environment and will guide others to ensure this is achieved at every Goodwill of Colorado site.
  • As a team leader, the manager will promote and set the standard of a team concept within the workplace.

Education:



  • A High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

*Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, or for purpose of receiving company mileage reimbursement they must be at least:



  • 19 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation),
  • 25 - 70 years of age for all passenger transportation services,
  • 21 years of age for CDL.
