We are currently hiring a Tinting Technician Location: Hoya Vision, 7000 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey, MN 55303 Hourly Rate: $21 per hour (+ shift differential, see below for more information) Shift: Training will be on 1st shift from 6am - 2:30pm, and will eventually move to 2nd shift, 2pm - 10:30pm once training is completed. What you'll do: Take lens out of tray and clean with Alcohol or soap as required Use clamps to put lenses in various color dyes to achieve desired results Run water over lens after removing from dye Prepares dyes and tint tanks Rejects bad tinted lenses Help routing work in the AR-Preparation room Maintain the machine inside and out Assists Back Side Coat Operator Back Side Coat lenses when needed Help in other areas when needed Maintain trays Cross trains on tasks from other areas of the lab Take inventory of tint supplies Maintain workstation and work areas clean and organized Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Able and willing to work as a team Basic Math Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays when needed Able to read and write English Language well Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately Computer skills (Windows, MS Office) Experience or knowledge working with automated equipment Problem solving skills Work without constant supervision Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
