Essential Functions and Primary Duties

1.Responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspects of accounting by:
*Providing GAAP accounting guidance and support to the finance/accounting organization
*Ensuring accounting practices are following US GAAP
*Improving and developing accounting policies and procedures under the direction of the office of Chief Accounting Officer
*Providing necessary training to the accounting team on new accounting policies and procedures
*Assisting in the interpretation and application of accounting standards to unusual and complex transactions and producing related accounting position issue memos
*Updating existing accounting issue memos on a quarterly basis.

2.Participating in special projects involving Corporate Accounting team as needed. An example of such projects:
*Annual goodwill impairment test
*Segment reporting analysis
*Acquisitions and divestitures due diligence, as needed
*VIE accounting and reporting
*Business combination / divestiture accounting, including purchase price allocation, working capital, and Opening Balance Sheet

3.Assisting the external reporting on Form 8-K and Form 10K and 10Q:
*Reviewing assigned sections/footnotes for completeness and accuracy
*Providing GAAP reporting disclosure assistance / updates to team members when needed
*Performing analytical reviews of assigned financial statements or ad hoc analysis of financial results

4.Assisting and participating in internal controls over financial reporting and financial statement audit:
*Performing assigned internal controls and ensure compliance
*Reviewing and developing internal controls over financial reporting as processes and/or procedures change
*Coordinating with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and support for the audit, both SOX and financial.

5.Performing month-end accounting tasks assigned. Such tasks may include:
*Recording journal entries for assigned accounts
*Performing account reconciliations as required
*Assisting the review of quarterly accounting policy and disclosure surveys

6.Performing other ad hoc tasks as requested.

Minimum Qualifications Required

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
* Or High School Diploma (or GED) and 7 years experience in relevant field
* Must have and preserve required licenses
* Proficient use of applicable technology
* Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
* Ability to travel as required by business

Preferred Qualifications

* Demonstrates strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting research abilities.
* Demonstrates the ability to write accounting memos in a professional manner.
* Ability to develop positive working relationships within finance and other departments
* Ability to prioritize time and scheduled tasks, and approach assigned tasks in a logical and efficient manner
* Communicates difficulties in a timely manner
* Works well with diverse team members
* Works independently but consults other members of Finance team when appropriate
* Uses knowledge, experience and common sense in making decisions, dealing with sensitive situations/information and ambiguous information
* Intellectual honesty and integrity
