About the Job

This is a part-time, temporary hire for Summer 2025. The Admissions Associate will backfill some responsibilities left undone due to a leave of absence, including some ongoing duties and some one-off projects.

Ongoing duties (50%)

  • Communicating with prospective students via email
  • Planning and conducting one-on-one appointments with prospective students
  • Most will be conducted online via Zoom, but there is the possibility that we have local students who prefer to visit campus and talk in-person
  • Assist the Director of Admissions with recruiting events (both virtual and in-person)
  • Prepare for and assist in executing Admissions' duties at Orientation

One-Off Projects (40%)

  • Peer/Competitor Analysis Updates
  • Advisor Contact List Updates
  • Decline Reason Analysis
  • Matric Source Analysis

Other duties as assigned (10%)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years' admissions/enrollment work experience OR 2+ years' public policy work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Familiarity with the academic areas of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs

Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate: $22.18 per hour
