Who You Are... As National Solutions Project Developer, you will lead the development of large-scale, turnkey infrastructure projects across the Eastern United States. This role requires a rare blend of engineering excellence, business acumen, and healthcare industry insight, with the ability to create fully integrated, high-ROI solutions that drive sustainability, operational efficiency, and long-term value for healthcare systems. The incumbent will work closely with healthcare executives and internal stakeholders to assess facility needs, craft strategic infrastructure plans, and lead the design and technical development of complex, multi-million-dollar projects that align with regulatory, financial, and sustainability goals. This Position... Some examples of the work you might do includes:
- Leads technical development of large, turnkey infrastructure solutions for healthcare clients, including energy efficiency, decarbonization, resiliency, and modernization projects.
- Works directly with C-level healthcare executives, facilities teams, and capital planners to assess existing infrastructure, operational challenges, and long-term goals.
- Conducts comprehensive facility assessments, site audits, and energy analyses to identify strategic opportunities and calculate project ROI.
- Translates complex engineering concepts into strategic, business-aligned proposals that address operational, financial, and regulatory healthcare drivers.
- Develops integrated technical scopes of work, conceptual designs, and budgets across mechanical, electrical, controls, and infrastructure systems.
- Collaborates with sales, project management, and external partners to ensure alignment and feasibility through design, implementation, and handoff phases.
- Ensures that proposed solutions meet or exceed client expectations in terms of sustainability outcomes, resiliency, and operational excellence.
- Stays abreast of healthcare trends, regulations, and technologies influencing infrastructure and energy planning.
- Supports internal proposal development, pricing strategy, and capital planning models including performance contracts, utility incentives, and other innovative funding approaches.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and technical advisor throughout the customer engagement and project lifecycle.
What You Need...
- 10+ years of experience in engineering or project development of large-scale infrastructure, energy, or turnkey facility projects.
- At least 5 years of experience specifically within the healthcare vertical, working with hospitals, health systems, or IDNs.
- Proven ability to design and develop complex technical solutions for large healthcare campuses with a clear ROI and sustainability narrative.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, controls, energy systems) and infrastructure modernization practices.
- Deep understanding of healthcare operational standards, compliance frameworks (e.g., Joint Commission, ASHE), and patient-centric facility constraints.
- Highly proficient in energy modeling, financial modeling, and life-cycle cost analysis.
- Strong project development and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering required; PE license or advanced technical certification strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Energy Star for Healthcare, LEED for Healthcare, or similar sustainability frameworks.
- Knowledge of state and federal energy incentive programs and funding mechanisms.
- Advanced proficiency in tools such as eQUEST, TRACE, Excel-based modeling, AutoCAD, or Revit.
- Experience with ESCOs, P3s, performance contracting, or innovative energy service models.

Work Environment:
- This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
- Work duties may regularly necessitate walk-throughs of local job sites, during which the incumbent may utilize basic tools (measuring tape, screwdriver, wrench, etc.), and be intermittently exposed to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.
Physical Demands:
- In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, walk, hear, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- S/he may occasionally be required to climb, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and/or perform repetitive motion.
