Description

Passionate about developing software and analyzing complex physical phenomena?

Enjoy collaborating with internal and external partners to understand their needs and help solve their problems?

If so, we're looking for someone like you to join the Air Combat and Strike Mission Analysis Group!

We are seeking a motivated software engineer to help us build innovative modeling and simulation (M&S) applications and provide analysis to support the development of next-generation strike weapons, combat air vehicles and other critical capabilities. You'll be joining our team of developers and analysts who work together to create a variety of solutions to multifaceted challenges.

We are a large team of 50+ engineers, physicists, mathematicians, and computer scientists who perform mission-level analysis to drive acquisition decisions on important precision strike technologies. Our work is sophisticated, engaging, and frequently has significant impact on Department of Defense programs. We believe in building strong, productive teams, continually growing our capabilities, cultivating collaborative relationships and encouraging a work environment that embraces integrity, trust, confidence, teamwork, accountability, and a little bit of fun. Our team always emphasizes personal development over short-lived success, and we pride ourselves on our intellectual integrity and our ability to deliver outstanding, unbiased analysis products!

As a Software Engineer, you will...

  • Collaborate with a team of software engineers and analysts to develop and integrate robust physics-based M&S tools for sensing and countermeasures applied to the precision strike domain
  • Participate in defining requirements for, designing, developing, testing, integrating, delivering, and maintaining M&S tools
  • Support mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis to help our sponsors understand the military utility and requirements for air dominance and strike systems

Qualifications

You will meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other related field
  • Have demonstrated the ability to effectively communicate software capability and design to radar analysts, software engineers, and other collaborators
  • Able to design and implement software related to radar and electronic attack domains
  • Understand the object oriented software paradigm and can apply it effectively to software development
  • Hold an active secret security clearance and are ultimately able to obtain a TS/SCI securty clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Have a Master's degree or PhD in a related technical field
  • Deeply understand Java, C++, and Git
  • Have a strong background in radar, electronic attack, and signal processing domains
  • Have performed mission-level analysis using tools such as AFSIM
