Job Description:

  • Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced, adaptable settings where high-mix/low-volume work is standard.
  • As part of the 2nd shift team, you'll work on next-generation products, complex prototype components, repairs for critical equipment, and fast-turnaround projects supporting engineering and manufacturing efforts. Flexibility, attention to detail, and an innovative mindset are essential.
  • We utilize horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, trunnions, jig bores, and other equipment in our shop.
  • Our team often works on next-generation products that have the potential to be differentiators for our customers.
  • This fast-paced factory is not a classic production machine shop as the work we do is anything but typical.
  • A successful candidate be working on projects varying from fabricating vital components for a critical production line, repair work to get essential equipment operational, or collaborating with design engineers to create a next-generation prototype.
  • This high-speed environment requires attention to detail, ability to work with a highly skilled and diverse team, and opportunity to grow your skillset by not doing the same thing day after day.
  • The Factory's reputation is built on our ability to execute challenging projects to meet customer schedules.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 5+ years' experience setting up and running vertical or horizontal machining centers, lathes, jig bore, or trunnions

  • Creating machining programs through Gibbs Cam
  • Verifying parts are compliant to the engineering models/drawings.

Required Skills:

  • An AAS in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent technical education.
  • Experience in the use of Virtual Gibbs for programming 2, 3, 4 and 5 axis machines.
  • Experience in the use of ProE and Common PDM for retrieving CAD models and integrating them into Gibbs Cam.
  • Experience using Renishaw probes and macros for machine set up and tool compensation.
  • Analysis of CMM inspection results to make final machine adjustments.
  • Experience with planning and building holding fixtures for hog-outs and castings.
  • Experience in correct selection of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for machining of aluminum and various stainless steels.
  • Experience with Brown & Sharpe and Micro height inspection tools.
  • Experience editing for Fanuc controls and working with Gibbs Cam, Master Cam, Solid works or similar programming software.
  • Experience planning, programming, machining, deburring, and inspecting of parts in a rapid response environment.
