Title: Forensic Technician Duration: (3+ months) contract Pay rate: $22/hr on w2 Without benefits. Location: St. Augustine, FL 32095 Shift timings: Mon - Fri 8 AM - 1 PM BG/DT required: Yes Role & Responsibilities: Knowledge and level of competency associated with a high school diploma. Skill in handling confidential and sensitive information. Skill in oral and written communication. Mandatory skills/certification(s) required: Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles used while assigned to this position. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills in order to serve others. Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language. Must be able to operate a computer. Bonus skills that will make a resume stand out: Knowledge of autopsy and body processing knowledge. Forensic photography. Role and Responsibilities: Assists in filling out required paperwork during medicolegal death investigations. Assists during radiographic examinations of decedents. Daily set up of morgue/autopsy stations. Weigh decedents. Help in positioning bodies prior to and during forensic examinations. Stock autopsy stations between examinations. Cleans morgue facilities and instruments. Prepares and ships samples. Shelve bodies. Maintains proper chain of custody. Document logs on a daily basis. Inventories and documents personal effects. Release biohazardous waste to appropriate vendor.
