Position Summary

In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to assigned patient populations to ensure the delivery of high quality care. Scope of practice will encompass:

  • Expert clinical practice
  • Expert guidance and coaching of patients and families and other healthcare providers
  • Research
  • Leadership (clinical, professional, and systems) DEPARTMENT: Children's Services
  • In collaboration with the collaborating or supervising physician, the advanced practice professional may:
    * Perform history and physical examinations and clinical evaluations for pediatric patients.
    * Assists in prompt consultations and critical issues.
    * Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies.
    * Order, monitor and/or administer medications, including controlled dangerous substances, as per joint protocol or delegation agreement
    * Performs timely follow-up of pediatric patients post discharge as well as those with chronic medical conditions
    * Perform minor office based procedures as per scope of practice (food challenges and skin testing)
    * Serve on call if required
Education

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program as determined by the Committee on Allied Health. Education and Accreditation or a current Registered Professional Nurse and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/Masters in Nursing

Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical practice experience in related field. Willing to train highly motivated individual. Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred.

Salary

  • Minimum new grad base salary $130,100. Salary commensurate with years of experience as an NP/PA
  • Ability to earn up to 5% quality incentive.
