The Administrative Services Center (ASC) is a deliverable of the AdminX initiative. The ASC partners with local and central units to provide efficient and consistent support for administrative operations across the Institute. The ASC will serve as the front door for all HR inquiries and transaction initiation.

Job Summary

The Business Analyst (Lead professional) position will be responsible for identifying and analyzing business processes, and implementing technology driven business solutions. This role requires strategic thinking with excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position will serve as a liaison between functional user and technical systems groups in the development or modification of typically complex information systems. Lead in definition of user business requirements and assure they are appropriately addressed in application implementation. Redefine business processes to maximize application usage as required. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: assigned user group management and staff, technical project management and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: assigned user group management and staff, technical project management and staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectives. Document and analyze complex user business processes and requirements; identify inefficiencies/solutions including modification of business process. Provide insights and recommendations to support operational efficiencies and long-term strategic planning.

Job Duty 2 -
Serve as a primary point of contact for all the Stakeholders and collaborate with them to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements. Ensure that the requirements are clearly defined, documented and communicated. Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Job Duty 3 -
Develop and present business cases, project plans, and proposals to senior management. Advise and support technical groups in systems development.

Job Duty 4 -
Lead testing of new or modified systems. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for them.

Job Duty 5 -
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion of initiatives. Provide communications link between user and technical group

Job Duty 6 -
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks. Develop specifications, test plans, timelines and milestones associated with system development or modification.

Job Duty 7 -
Facilitate workshops, meetings and training programs to ensure that the end users are proficient in using the new systems. Provide ongoing user support including troubleshooting and resolution of more complex system issues.

Job Duty 8 -
Ensure all the business processes and systems comply with relevant regulations and policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the business processes.
Job Duty 9 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, IT or Information Systems related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Six or more years of job-related experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree in a related field

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)/Certified associate in project management (CAPM)/Professional Business Analyst Certification/ Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)/ Project Management Professional (PMP)/ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/ any equivalent certification

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

This job requires an advanced knowledge of various business analysis tools, proficiency in documentation processes, business system architecture and associated technologies; advanced skills in data organization and reporting tools, problem solving, systems documentation and report writing as applied within assigned system(s); skills in functional leadership and strong cross communication between functional user and technical groups; ability to manage work on multiple projects with competing priorities; strong project management skills, strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences; effective analytical and presentation skills; excellent organizational, time management skills, and professionalism; self- motivated and able to work independently. Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations. Ability to organize and attention to detail.

Salary Range : $105,000 - $115,211
Location: Atlanta, GA

This is a Limited term position for maximum of one year.
