Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a results-driven Senior IT Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position is designed for a proven IT leader with a strong background in enterprise scale IT service delivery, infrastructure operations, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will support ongoing and emerging needs within our program or broader business unit and will be considered for placement in a leadership position based on organizational priorities and candidate strength.

The Senior IT Manager will work closely with program leadership, technical subject matter experts, and customer stakeholders to ensure IT strategies are implemented effectively and aligned with evolving mission priorities. This role demands a proactive leader who can assess organizational needs, rapidly integrate into dynamic teams, and drive results across multiple IT domains, including operations, service delivery, security, and modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic insight and hands on experience, capable of navigating complex environments while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Whether leading a specific function or contributing broadly across the program, the Senior IT Manager will serve as a trusted partner in delivering high quality, mission critical IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and support teams delivering enterprise IT services, including infrastructure, systems administration, network operations, and cybersecurity.
  • Identify and implement cross-functional process improvements that enhance IT service delivery.
  • Maintain and support a mature IT cybersecurity posture, including compliance with DoD and federal security policies.
  • Partner with technical teams to improve outcomes across incident response, service delivery, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Mentor junior personnel and contribute to workforce development and performance culture.
  • Participate in system design reviews, ITSM process development, and operational dashboards.
  • Support Assessment and Authorization activities and collaborate with Information Systems Security Officers.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment with mission requirements.
  • Reviewing, planning, and preparing Assessment and Authorization processes for program projects with Information System Security Officers (ISSO).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
  • 9 years of experience managing complex IT infrastructure environments
  • Strong network operations experience (i.e. including network design, development, testing, and implementing systems management platforms and solutions
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams of IT professionals supporting a large enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with customer senior leadership
  • Familiarity with DOD IT security requirements
  • Minimum Certification Requirements -Currently hold one or more of the following and have the ability to ability to obtain all certs:
    • ITIL v4 Specialist to align with the latest version of DESMF
    • DOD 8570.01M IAM Level II certification
    • Certified TBM Executive (CTBME)
  • U.S Citizenship required; Active Top Secret clearance; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Engineering
  • Previous experience working in dynamic large scale DoD IT environment
  • Previous experience with any Federal Agency ITSM operations and IT leadership
  • Experience with concepts related to FedRAMP, and other authorization/certification and endorsements for systems operating in the Federal space
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a complex environment
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements efficiencies
  • Ability to multitask effectively between program projects, subcontractor personnel, and project civil servant community
  • Excellent communication skills - able to run meetings with project teams and coordinate with technical and non-technical staff
  • Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and proactive interactions
  • Self-starter with a drive to deliver superior IT services to support the USCG mission

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
